Recognizing the substantial costs of cyberattacks on enterprises and aiming to address this issue, <a href=\"https:\/\/certihash.solutions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Certihash<\/a> and IBM Consulting formed a partnership to develop Sentinel Node, a cybersecurity detection tool powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/coingeek.com\/bitcoin101\/what-is-blockchain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blockchain technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The tool was first presented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalblockchainconvention.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BSV Global Blockchain Convention<\/a> in Dubai, an event that aims to increase awareness of the potential and expansive applications that can be built on the BSV Blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>Co-founder Gregory Ward introduces Certihash as \u201cthe world&#8217;s first blockchain-powered cybersecurity solution based on the National Institute of Science and Technology&#8217;s cybersecurity framework.\u201d In collaboration with IBM, Certihash proudly offers a \u201cmore robust system\u201d compared to what is being offered by existing legacy cybersecurity platforms.<\/p><div id=\"winne-3359105120\" class=\"winne-content_4 winne-entity-placement\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/RealBetgaranteed\" aria-label=\"1wtnye0p7dhrluhkyoq6dnh7yt6f5emh\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/winnerstip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1wtnye0p7dhrluhkyoq6dnh7yt6f5emh.png?fit=318%2C106&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/winnerstip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1wtnye0p7dhrluhkyoq6dnh7yt6f5emh.png?w=318&ssl=1 318w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/winnerstip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1wtnye0p7dhrluhkyoq6dnh7yt6f5emh.png?resize=300%2C100&ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" width=\"318\" height=\"106\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Ward describes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finextra.com\/pressarticle\/92449\/certihash-to-develop-an-enterprise-suite-of-blockchain-security-tools-with-ibm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sentinel Node<\/a> as a \u201cnext generation cyber security detection tool that is able to mitigate the overall time to identify a data breach from the average of 212 days to near-instant, significantly reducing the lifecycle and total cost of a cyberattack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gB1f_2cCF64\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to the &#8220;Cost of a Data Breach Report&#8221; by IBM, identifying a network breach takes an average of 212 days while containing it takes an average of 75 days. The total time of 287 days in 2017 has since increased by 30 days.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, in investigating 537 security breaches in 17 countries, the cost of data breaches increases annually, from $3.86 million in 2020 to $4.24 million in 2021. The United States has the highest average total cost at $9 million.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the said report, it is then evident that cybersecurity is no longer limited to prevention but should likewise involve detection at the earliest time possible. Nevertheless, Sentinel Node shall focus on detection as it is what they deemed to be the most important in mitigating the time required to reduce the lifecycle, and ultimately, the total cost of cyber-attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Sentinel Node guarding a network is very important due to the tendency of hackers to cover their tracks when they enter to maliciously attack a network. This tool detects and tracks every change in any file and log, then records it on the blockchain, continuously comparing a system\u2019s organization which allows it to immediately recognize the occurrence of any modification and data breach.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to enterprise network security, time is of the essence as the cost of data breach escalates with each passing day.
